Passion for a Timeless Craft
I grew up in the lush farming countryside of western Pennsylvania.
We grew and canned most of our own vegetables. Meats and dairy
products were provided by my Grandparents. Their farm was
just a ways down the dirt road from ours. We had wonderful
family get-togethers, with food that is the backbone of
American culture. Food that is simple, yet rich and satisfying.
The fresh ingredients we used made all the difference in
the world!
Working with food has been a life-long ambition of mine.
From a very young age, I have been fascinated with food and
the blending of flavors. What drives me is simple, I just
love foods and cooking for family and friends. I will admit
I am guilty of being a perfectionist. Driven to impress my
guests, to create something sensational with the food - to
blow them away!
My passion for food was the driving force behind launching
Kitchen Express in the Brazos Valley. My favorites include
many International dishes, especially Italian, Mexican and Asian. I am always looking for new recipes
to test, however I will only serve dishes that are tried and true.
I learn something new every day. Sharing that knowledge
is also important, and I love to share the short cuts I find
as well as my favorite cake and cookie recipes with friends.
